Rivian opened the official R2 configurator on the brand’s website, allowing the more than 200,000 reservists of the electric SUV to assemble their own vehicle. The tool shows package options, features and availability dates for each configuration chosen. Modelos with special colors will have an extended wait until 2027.
Preços vary depending on release package
The Performance model with Pacote of Lançamento starts at US$57,990, reaching US$62,745 with all additions. Este package includes Autonomy+ system, Pacote from Reboque, special key fob and access to the Verde livery from Lançamento. Color options are expensive — paints other than silver cost between $1,000 and $2,000 extra.
Exclusive Cores have extended timelines. Verde Floresta arrives in late 2026. Roxo Borealis, available only on Performance, will not be delivered until 2027. Dark Interior comes standard; the clear Coastal Cloud costs $1,000 and will begin shipping later this year.
Versão Standard starts at $48,490
All-wheel drive is standard on the $53,990 Premium. Para the most affordable Standard model, costs an extra $3,500. Adicionar all-wheel drive reduces the estimated range from 555 kilometers to 530. The Pacote of Reboque, required when opting for all-wheel drive in the Standard version, costs US$950.
Rodas also have variable cost:
- Standard: 19-inch wheels (standard); 20-inch two-tone carbon upgrade for $1,000
- Premium: 20-inch two-tone wheels (standard); 21-inch Liquid Tungsten upgrade for $2,000
- Performance: 21-inch wheels (standard); Upgrade to 20-inch Black Sand with 32-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain tires for $1,000
Kit compact spare tire with jack and chocks costs an additional $755, with its own compartment in the trunk.
Autonomy+ and additional features
The Autonomy+ autonomous driving package is available for $2,500. Vale notes that Rivian does not offer lidar in R2 and does not plan to add the technology in future updates. The absence of the 3D sensor affects the autonomous driving experience compared to rivals that adopt it.
Delivery Cronogramas varies widely. Primeiros R2 Performance with Pacote of Lançamento are expected to be delivered to pre-purchase reservists later this year. Modelos with Verde Floresta paintwork is delayed until the end of 2026. Roxo Borealis, the most anticipated color, is only confirmed for delivery in 2027.
Demanda remains high despite waits
The 200,000 accumulated reservations place the R2 as one of the most anticipated models in the compact electric SUV segment. The Rivian maintains flexibility in the configurator, allowing changes in choices until final order confirmation. The configurator works as a transparency tool — buyers see exactly which color and package is responsible for delays. Verde Floresta and Roxo Borealis, the colors that add the most waiting time, are also the ones that generate the most interest among consumers.
