BMW reveals iX3 2027 as brand reset with bespoke electric platform

BMW presents the 2027 iX3 as the first production model on the Neue Klasse platform, marking what the manufacturer describes as a genuine reset for the brand in the premium electric SUV segment. The vehicle arrives loaded with specifications that position it as a direct competitor to models such as the Audi Q6 E-Tron, Porsche Macan Electric and Mercedes-Benz GLC EV, offering 500 miles of autonomy according to the WLTP standard and a charging capacity of 400 kW. The xDrive 50 configuration tested weighs 5,037 pounds (2,285 kg) and delivers 463 horsepower with 476 lb-ft of torque.

The iX3 mounts a 108.7 kWh battery and reaches 0-62 mph in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 130 mph.
