Arthur Elias announces Women’s National Team squad for friendlies against the USA

The Seleção Feminina coach announced this Wednesday the 26 squad for the two friendlies against Estados Unidos in June. Arthur Elias also released a second list of 30 athletes for the training period between June 15th and 20th in Itu, São Paulo. The clashes against the North Americans will take place outside Data FIFA, on dates and locations already confirmed by Confederação Brasileira of Futebol.

The call-ups were presented at the CBF headquarters on Rio of Janeiro, with details about the calendar and the squad that will face one of the main powers in world women’s football.

Datas and friendlies locations

The first game takes place on Saturday, June 6th, at 6:30 pm, on Neo Química Arena, on São Paulo. The second clash is scheduled for June 9, Tuesday, at 9:30 pm, on Arena Castelão, on Fortaleza. Ambas matches are part of Seleção’s preparation for international competitions. The concentration period for friendlies is from June 1st to 10th.

• Goleiras:Lelê (Corinthians), Lorena (Kansas City) and Kemelli (Fluminense)
• Zagueiras:Thais Ferreira (Corinthians)
• Laterais:Isabela (PSG), Aline Gomes (Pachuca) and Raissa Bahia (Palmeiras)
• Meio-campers:Duda Sampaio (Corinthians), Angelina (Orlando Pride), Ary Borges (Angel City), Yaya (PSG) and Kaylane (Flamengo)
• Atacantes:Kerolin (Manchester City), Dudinha (San Diego), Gio (Atlético of Madrid), Marta (Orlando Pride), Bia Zaneratto (Palmeiras), Taina Maranhão (Palmeiras), Gabi Portilho (San Diego), Ludmila (San Diego), Amanda Gutierres (Boston) and Cris Gambaré

Atletas who play for European and North American clubs form the basis of the group, with emphasis on players from top teams such as PSG, Manchester City and Lyon.

Atletas selected for the training period

The extra preparation period in Itu brings together 30 players in a specific training program. The squad includes goalkeepers Camila, Nicole, Morganti and Kemelli; defenders like Tayla, Paloma, Kathellen, Tainara and Fê Palermo; sides Antônia, Ivana Fuso, Isabela, Ravenna and Raissa Bahia; midfielders Andressa Alves, Clarinha, Kaylane, Yaya and Ana Vitória; and attackers Jaque, Evelin, Jhonson, Priscila, Jheniffer, Luany, Marilía, Gio, Adriana and Geyse.

Este group brings together players from different national and international leagues. Clubes Brazilians such as Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Palmeiras and Santos have representatives in the squad. European Competições also contribute athletes from Spanish, Portuguese and Italian teams.

Preparação for upcoming appointments

The release of the lists marks the beginning of Seleção Feminina’s technical programming for the coming months. Friendlies against Estados Unidos serve as a thermometer before official competitions. The period away from Data FIFA allows Arthur Elias to work with an expanded squad, testing tactical systems and evaluating different options for the bench.

The concentration on Itu follows the preparation model already used by Confederação Brasileira in other campaigns. The location offers complete infrastructure and isolation necessary for intense tactical work without external interference.
