Conteúdo of the letter and defense allegations

In the letter, Deolane claims to be “caged by pure persecution and for being an opinion leader” and denounces a cycle of accusations that lasts more than 5 years. Ela specifically rejects the allegation that it has 37 companies in its name, classifying this information as false and easily proven by consulting the commercial board.

The defense alleges a lack of right to a hearing during the investigation. Deolane claims that, despite her public life and known address, she has never been called to provide clarification on the case in more than 4 years. Ela reports having been woken up with a “gun pointed” during house arrest and being taken without the opportunity to defend herself.

Decisões lawsuits and upcoming actions

Tribunal of Justiça of São Paulo denied, on Sunday (24), a preliminary habeas corpus request presented by the defense. The decision came one day after minister Flávio Dino, from Supremo Tribunal Federal, rejected the request for house arrest after assessing that there was no “manifest illegality” in the preventive detention.

Deolane’s defense awaits judgment on the merits of habeas corpus and is evaluating the possibility of appealing to Superior Tribunal of Justiça. Ela remains imprisoned in Penitenciária Feminina of Tupi Paulista, inside São Paulo, maintaining a posture of trust in justice as expressed in her correspondence.

Origem’s investigation and accusations

The investigation began in 2019 after prison officers found handwritten notes in Penitenciária II’s cells and sewage tank. The documents contained internal orders from Primeiro Comando of Capital, contacts of members of the faction and references to violent actions against public servants.

Based on this documentation, investigators mapped a cargo transport company based at Presidente Venceslau, close to the penitentiary complex, which would be used as a shell company to move the faction’s money. Segundo or Ministério Público, the company made transfers to third-party accounts in order to hide the origin of PCC’s resources. Duas of these accounts would be registered in the name of Deolane.

Ministério Público maintains that the influencer was active in laundering money for the criminal organization, an accusation that she fully denies. Deolane states that the R$24,500 was legitimately received as legal fees for services provided, not for connection to any illicit scheme related to the faction.
