Detetives of Reserva Florestal of Condado of Cook have released a new sketch of the suspect wanted for a sexual assault that occurred on Saturday in LaBagh Woods, on the northwest side of Chicago. Police have intensified searches in the area with increased patrols of cars, quad bikes and bicycles since the incident.
The attack happened at around 12:30 pm on Saturday. A 29-year-old woman was attacked about 150 meters from the parking lot, off the trails, on the east side of the reserve. The victim was taken to Hospital Swedish Covenant and discharged.
Suspect’s Características
Segundo police, the suspect is approximately 1.80 m tall and has distinctive physical characteristics:
- Longa brown and blonde beard that reaches his chest
- Óculos dark
- Gorro black
- Camisa dark
- Jaqueta black with zipper and red shoulder strap
The identity and age of the suspect remain unknown. The sketch was released on Tuesday as a tool to aid in identification.
Operação search in progress
Police from Reserva Florestal, Departamento from Polícia from Chicago and sheriff’s police from Condado from Cook are jointly coordinating searches in the region. The increased patrols aim to ensure the safety of those in the area and locate the suspect. Autoridades has not released additional information about the investigation at this time.
