Realme C85 arrives in Brazil with 7,000 mAh battery and extreme resistance
The Realme C85 was launched at Brasil in February this year as an entry-level smartphone focused on extreme durability and extended autonomy. With a price starting at R$1,269.60 via Pix on Shopee, the device is positioned as an alternative for users who prioritize water resistance and a long battery life over sophisticated cameras or 5G connectivity.
The Chinese brand achieved a record in the Guinness World Records after submerging 280 units simultaneously in the Indonésia, validating the model’s 4 dust and water certifications: IP69K, IP69, IP68 and IP66. Essas certifications allow the cell phone to withstand immersion in up to 6 meters of depth for around 30 minutes, in addition to supporting contact with 36 different types of liquids.
Unprecedented Resistência in entry-level smartphone
The design of the Realme C85 prioritizes robustness with sophisticated aesthetic details. The feather-inspired rear features rounded corners, and next to the camera array is the “Pulse Light”, lighting that reacts to notifications and battery status. The device weighs 212 grams and measures 166.18 x 78.03 x 8.38 mm.
Certifications guarantee that the smartphone remains functional in extreme conditions. In tests carried out by Realme, the C85 demonstrated resistance to coffee and 35 other liquids, including soda, wine and milk. The maximum recommended depth is 6 meters for 30 minutes in fresh water, or 0.5 meters for up to 60 minutes in less extreme conditions.
Disponível in black and light blue, the model offers a premium finish despite the more affordable price range compared to other ultra-resistant cell phones on the market.
7,000 mAh Bateria delivers exceptional battery life
The battery is one of the biggest highlights of the Realme C85 and places it in a select group of smartphones with this capacity. The manufacturer promises up to 50 hours of voice calls and 30 hours of continuous talk time. In intense use scenarios, the device can reach up to 14 hours of internet browsing or 19 hours of video playback.
Battery performance remains stable even in extreme temperatures, ranging between -20°C and 40°C. With just 1% charge, the smartphone offers up to 31 minutes of calls before shutting down completely. Wear protection technology promises a service life of up to 6 years.
45W fast charging recharges the device in a reasonable time, while the reverse charging function provides up to 12.5 full charges for a pair of headphones. Essa versatility makes the C85 practical for users who carry multiple devices.

Câmeras with artificial intelligence focuses on practicality
The set of cameras is not the Realme C85’s strong point, keeping the proposal simple and efficient. The 50-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture offers PDAF technology for faster focusing, but without optical stabilization (OIS). The 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture only meets basic selfie and video calling needs.
Video recording supports Full HD (1080p) at 30 fps on both cameras, with slow-motion mode at 720p at 120 fps on the rear. The highlight is the features of Inteligência Artificial: “AI Edit Genie” allows image editing via voice commands, while “AI Outdoor Mode” automatically adjusts brightness and contrast in external photos for greater sharpness. Essas features make up for the lack of more advanced hardware.
Tela balances fluidity and energy savings
The Realme C85’s display strikes a balance between advanced features and economical choices. The 6.8-inch LCD panel with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz ensures fluidity in games and applications. Dynamic adjustment between 60 and 120 Hz optimizes battery consumption according to use.
Maximum brightness of 1,200 nits provides good visibility outdoors and in direct sunlight. Entretanto, the HD+ resolution of 1,570 x 720 pixels is modest compared to more modern smartphones. LCD technology, more basic than OLED, prioritizes energy efficiency and reduces the final cost of the device. Essa combination delivers a good experience on social networks and browsing, but leaves something to be desired in games that require higher visual quality.
Limited Conectividade and extra features with AI
The Realme C85 offers Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC for contactless payments, but does not support 5G networks. Essa restriction is compensated by the presence of Inteligência Artificial resources integrated into the system. The Modo AI for Ambientes Externos automatically enhances screen brightness, increases call volume, and optimizes performance in outdoor scenarios.
The AI Netpilot uses a new antenna architecture combined with AI algorithms for signal reinforcement. The technology improves connection stability and strength in outdoor environments, offering a more consistent network experience. Todas these functions operate integrated with native NFC support.
The device leaves the factory with Android 15 under Realme UI 6.0 interface. Embora the manufacturer has not made an official announcement, it is expected that the model will receive an update to Android 16, based on the history of previous launches of the C line.
Preços and availability on major platforms
The Realme C85 is on sale in multiple Brazilian retail channels. Na Shopee, the price is R$1,379.99, falling to R$1,269.60 when paying in cash via Pix. No Mercado Livre, the most complete version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs R$ 1,553.25.
Available configurations range from 6GB or 8GB of RAM, with 128GB or 256GB storage. The manufacturer does not officially inform whether there is support for additional memory cards, limiting storage expansion to the internal options offered.
