Samsung Electronics Japan has started distributing the One UI 8.5 interface for the brand’s mobile devices launched from 2023 onwards. The development of the new interface required adaptations to wireless communication protocols to ensure stable connections between competing platforms.
Cronograma release and devices covered
The Galaxy S24, S24 Ultra, S25 and S25 Ultra smartphones receive the data package immediately. The priority list also includes the Z Fold7, Z Fold6, Z Flip7 and Z Flip6 foldable screen devices. The manufacturer had already made the interface available for the Galaxy S26 series, presented to the market in March, and for the Galaxy A57 5G intermediary, which hit stores in April.
The company’s official calendar establishes May 26th as the start date for updating other compatible equipment. Older Modelos, such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra, integrate the phased distribution schedule. Access to the full suite of Galaxy AI tools depends on the processing capacity of each hardware, which results in limited functions for versions from previous years.
