Japanese manufacturer Jaos has presented a new customization package aimed at improving the off-road capabilities of the Toyota RAV4 sport utility vehicle. The set of modifications was developed specifically for the Adventure version of the model and made its official debut during the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026 event, held in the city of Chiba, at Japão. The proposal of the company specializing in automotive accessories consists of offering parts that change the look and height of the vehicle, without interfering with the original factory mechanical set.

The Japanese automotive market is registering a growing demand for versatile vehicles that move easily between the urban environment and unpaved roads. The Jaos kit serves this audience by providing components that can be purchased together or separately. The strategy allows owners of the Toyota RAV4 to customize the car according to the available budget and the level of demand for trail use. The 2.5-liter hybrid engine and the E-Four all-wheel drive system remain unchanged after equipment installation.

Modificações external and body protections

The personalization project introduces a series of aesthetic and functional protections to the body of the Toyota RAV4 Adventure. The front part of the utility vehicle receives an appliqué with four amber LED lights integrated into the grille, a visual detail that refers to the style adopted by large pickup trucks. The front bumper gets an extender divided into three distinct sections. Essa additional piece increases the protection area against direct impacts when overcoming obstacles on rough terrain.

Nas sides of the vehicle, Jaos installed fender extenders fixed by visible screws. The aesthetic feature gives the utility vehicle a more robust appearance and expands space in the wheel arches. Estribos reinforced sides facilitate access to the cabin and protect the bottom of the doors against stones and branches. The car’s columns also receive specific protections to avoid scratches on the original paintwork.

The rear section of the Toyota RAV4 follows the standard of robustness applied to the front. The rear bumper and trunk door feature scratch-resistant plastic inserts. The luggage compartment has a completely waterproof mat, which makes cleaning easier after transporting equipment dirty with dirt or mud. The flared fenders are available in black or red, allowing customization in line with the driver’s preference.

Atualizações in suspension and height system

The main functional change offered by the Jaos package focuses on the Toyota RAV4’s suspension system. The kit called Battlez Lift-up replaces the original components with springs and shock absorbers resized for off-road use. The modification raises the ground clearance by approximately 25 millimeters. The gain in height significantly improves the SUV’s approach and departure angles.

The new shock absorbers installed on the vehicle have a load adjustment system. The mechanism allows the driver to configure the suspension stiffness according to the type of road faced. The technology guarantees the maintenance of passenger comfort when traveling on paved roads, while at the same time offering the necessary firmness to absorb impacts on dirt roads. Elevating the body also makes it possible to install tires with a higher profile.

Apesar of the structural changes to the suspension, the Jaos opted to preserve the reliability of the powertrain developed by the automaker. The 2.5-liter engine delivers a combined power of 237 horsepower in the Japanese market. The E-Four system remains responsible for distributing torque electronically between the front and rear axles. The automatic transmission manages engine power without the need for electronic reprogramming after installing the lift kit.

Conjunto wheels and tires for uneven terrain

Replacing the original 18 or 19-inch wheels represents a fundamental step in preparing the Toyota RAV4 for off-road use. The Jaos equips the utility with the 17-inch Adamas BL5 model. The reduction in the diameter of the alloy wheel allows the fitting of tires with larger sidewalls. The tire’s higher sidewall acts as an extra layer of cushioning against uneven terrain.

The tread design of tires recommended by the accessory manufacturer has deep grooves and closely spaced blocks. The configuration makes it easier to expel mud and rocks, which increases traction capacity on low-grip surfaces. The finish on the Adamas BL5 wheels was exclusively developed to harmonize with the darkened appliqués on the bodywork.

Customers looking to improve their vehicle’s grip can count on different configuration options in the company’s catalogue. Available alternatives include:

  • 17-inch Rodas Adamas BL5 with exclusive finish;
  • Pneus all-terrain type with high side profile;
  • Kit suspension lift compatible with original factory wheels.

The combination of smaller wheels and reinforced tires suits drivers who divide their routine between urban traffic and weekend trips. Jaos subjects the sets to rigorous durability tests on its own tracks before being released for sale. Changing the rim diameter does not compromise the speedometer reading or the functioning of the car’s active safety systems.

Valores of the package and presence in the Asian market

Acquiring the complete customization package for the Toyota RAV4 Adventure requires an investment of around 850 thousand yen in the Japanese market. Jaos’s sales policy allows consumers to purchase pieces individually. The suspension lifting kit, for example, is sold for approximately 220 thousand yen. The set of exclusive wheels has a similar value, while the front bumper extender with LED lighting costs around 114 thousand yen.

The products are distributed through the automaker’s own dealership network at Japão. The components are installed in authorized workshops, which guarantees the correct application of the parts and the preservation of the vehicle’s warranty. Até At the moment, there is no official forecast for the direct export of the kit to other continents. Independent Importadores often meet the demand of enthusiasts in regions such as Norte’s América and Europa.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2026 served as a showcase not only for the Toyota RAV4, but also for other projects developed by Jaos. The manufacturer’s stand displayed prepared versions of models such as the Mitsubishi Delica, the Nissan X-Trail and the Subaru Forester. The Land Cruiser 250 utility was also highlighted with modifications aimed at extreme use. The diversity of vehicles on display reinforces the company’s position as one of the main suppliers of 4×4 equipment on the Asian continent.
