Nvidia RTX Spark promises thin laptops with personal supercomputer performance
Nvidia officially entered the consumer laptop chip segment with the launch of the RTX Spark. Fabricantes like Microsoft, Asus, HP, MSI, Lenovo and Dell already have devices scheduled to hit the market in the second half of this year. The expectation is that these new laptops will integrate the RTX Spark superchip based on the Arm architecture.
The RTX Spark platform represents a significant evolution in performance, especially for artificial intelligence tasks. The high-end version of the chip, revealed by Nvidia at Computex, features a robust configuration with 20 CPU cores, 6,144 GPU cores and 128GB of LPDDR5X memory. Asus presented a detailed look at its upcoming ProArt laptops with Nvidia Spark, focused on creative professionals. MSI Prestige N16 Flip AI Plus: Flexibilidade and AI
MSI also prepares its offering with the RTX Spark chip, the Prestige N16 Flip AI Plus, which adopts a 2-in-1 convertible form factor. The company describes the model as a “new generation of thin and light premium PCs”, although information about weight and dimensions was not detailed. Preço, memory and storage configurations also remain undisclosed. Nvidia has guaranteed that all RTX Spark laptops will have “all-day battery life” and be up to 14mm thick.
The new Dell XPS 16 will apparently feature three USB-C ports, an HDMI port, headphone jack, and an SD card slot. The HP OmniBook X 14, in turn, should feature two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, an HDMI port and a headphone jack. HP said it will share more data “closer to availability,” and other companies will likely follow this schedule. Acer and Gigabyte are also expected to introduce their own Spark laptops, although specific models or release times have not been detailed by Nvidia.
