Left-back Francisco Moura, from FC Porto, emerged as one of the targets of Coventry City, a club recently promoted to the Premier League.
The 26-year-old player is not guaranteed to remain in the Dragons’ squad for the 2026/27 season. As had already been reported, the left-back position is one of the priorities for strengthening the Portuguese club’s SAD, which could pave the way for the departure of Moura or Zaidu Sanusi.
Francisco Moura was born on August 16, 1999, is 1.81m tall and weighs 75kg. He plays as a defender, wears the number 74 shirt and accumulates experience in Portugal.
In the 2025/2026 season of the Liga Portugal Betclic, the player played 20 games, scored 2 goals, made 2 assists, finished 12 times and received 5 yellow cards, totaling 1038 minutes on the field.
Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, from SportItalia, reported that Coventry City is monitoring the former Famalicão. The Portuguese full-back is among the most popular options for the Sky Blues, who are looking for alternatives for the defensive sector with their arrival in the elite of English football.
Last summer, Moura was linked to Atalanta, from Italy, but remained at FC Porto, where he won the national title. He has a contract valid until June 2029, with a termination clause valued at 60 million euros.
