Chapter 5 ofDELTARUNEhas a confirmed release date. The game will arrive on June 24th, on all platforms.
The announcement was made during the Nintendo Direct held this Tuesday (9). The title, created by Toby Fox, continues the story that mixes the World of Darkness and the Original World, with a unique narrative, different combats and 2D visuals.
Chapter 5 will be available as a free update for those who already own the full game. Those who purchase after launch will also have the content included in the paid version. The game runs on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 and other platforms such as PC.
In the official newsletter released along with the announcement, Toby Fox described the tone of the chapter. While Chapter 4 brought “dark clouds on the horizon”, the fifth invites players to “turn their backs and watch the sun, before it sets completely”. The creator promised “another fun adventure”.
The trailer shown in the Direct highlighted moments of exploration and combat, maintaining the series’ characteristic style, focusing on choices between fighting or sparing enemies. Fox avoided revealing the most impactful points to preserve the surprise in the first game.
DELTARUNEemerged as a parallel project toUndertaleand had chapters released episodically. Chapter 5 marks the advancement of the main story, with development of Chapter 6 already underway.
The simultaneous worldwide release facilitates access for the Brazilian community, which has followed the series since the initial free chapters.
