Samsung’s next generation of affordable smartphones will undergo important changes in both technical and commercial aspects. Recent leaks shared by analyst Roland Quandt show that the Galaxy A27 should hit the market with a higher price compared to its predecessor Galaxy A26. The movement is surprising because the device will bring reductions in parts of the camera, even with advances in general performance.
According to data obtained by Quandt, Samsung will offer the Galaxy A27 in different memory and storage configurations. The basic version will be sold in Europe for €349 (around R$2,085) in the option with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal space. The most advanced variant, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, should be offered for €439 (approximately R$2,625).
By way of comparison, the launch prices of the Galaxy A26 in the same configurations were €299 and €369 (around R$1,790 and R$2,205). The adjustment represents an increase of up to €70 in the South Korean manufacturer’s list in the entry-level intermediate range.
To justify the new price level, Samsung must leave the Exynos 1380 chipset aside and adopt the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. The change should bring better energy efficiency and gains in daily processing, solving heating issues that appeared in previous generations with Exynos chips.
The manufacturer will maintain features already consolidated in the line. The Galaxy A27 should maintain the 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, the 5,000 mAh battery and the 50 MP main rear sensor.
Although performance improves with the Qualcomm component, leaked information indicates that Samsung made cuts in the secondary part of the cameras to control costs. The ultrawide, for example, should drop from 8 MP on the Galaxy A26 to 5 MP. The front, used for selfies and video calls, goes from 13 MP to 12 MP.
This reduction signals the brand’s effort to protect profit margins amid varying costs in chip production. The priority is on the main processor, even if this affects the complementary sensors.
The first Galaxy A27 registrations appeared in late November 2025 in regulatory databases, along with the Galaxy A37 and A57 models. The exact global launch date has not yet been confirmed by Samsung, but leaked commercial details point to an announcement in the coming weeks.
