Google has doubled the cloud storage limit for subscribers to the AI Plus paid plan, the most affordable option with expanded access to Gemini. The previous space of 200 GB now increases to 400 GB, benefiting all services linked to the Google account, such as Drive, Photos and Gmail.
In some international markets, the adjustment was accompanied by a reduction in the monthly value, from US$7.99 to US$4.99 (equivalent to around R$41 to R$25 in direct conversion). In Brazil, the price of R$24.99 per month remains the same, but the new storage limit is already available for those who subscribe to the plan.
AI Plus serves as the cheapest entry into Gemini’s advanced artificial intelligence features, including video creation and increased usage limits for the most powerful models.
Google One changes plan name and credit consumption
The recent updates have also reached the company’s other cloud subscription plans. The category previously called Google One Premium has been renamed to Google AI Plus, but maintains the storage quota defined in the plan.
The company notified subscribers via email about the changes, which include a new compute-based AI consumption model. Instead of charging for individual access, more complex tasks now consume a larger portion of the usage allowance, which is replenished every five hours.
There are adjustments to AI credits, used in tools such as Flow and Antigravity. Google stopped offering 200 monthly credits in the basic plan and restricted the benefit to the AI Pro and AI Ultra plans. Even so, the company guarantees that the experience of AI Plus users will not undergo significant changes with the new limits.
