Defendants Mariano Perroni, nursing coordinator, and Nancy Forlini, home care coordinator at the healthcare company Swiss Medical, gave testimony this Tuesday in the trial for the death of Diego Armando Maradona, alongside one of his daughters, Dalma Maradona.

The hearing took place at the San Isidro Oral Court, where the case against seven health professionals for alleged medical negligence is ongoing. Perroni and Forlini are two of the defendants who until then had not given their complete version of the facts in the new trial, which began in April 2026 after the annulment of the previous one due to judicial irregularities.

Dalma Maradona, one of the former player’s daughters and part of the accusation, was also called to testify at the session, marking another emotional moment in the case that investigates the circumstances of Maradona’s death in November 2020, at the age of 60.

The process investigates whether there were errors in the home confinement set up for the football idol after brain surgery, with accusations of negligent homicide that could result in sentences of up to 25 years in prison for those convicted.
