Sony today began regional distribution of Destiny 2: Legacy Collection 2025 to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. The early addition is part of the Days of Play 2026 celebrations and marks the time when the game receives its latest content update from Bungie.
The pack features an extensive compilation of the online shooter, including main expansions such as The Final Shape, Lightfall, The Witch Queen, Beyond Light, Shadowkeep and Forsaken, as well as the 30th Anniversary Pack and dungeons such as Pit of Heresy, Shattered Throne and Grasp of Avarice. It is available for PS5 and PS4.
Gitaroo Man arrives for Premium subscribers
In addition to Destiny 2, the PS Plus Premium classics catalog includes the rhythm game Gitaroo Man, an original PS2 title. The addition completes the package of surprises for the month.
The full list of June’s PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be revealed this Wednesday, June 10th. The titles should be available next Tuesday, June 16th, with possible releases confirmed for July on the same day.
Why Destiny 2’s Addition Matters
This is one of the biggest recent additions to the service. As the game ends its cycle of content updates, the Legacy Collection offers new and returning players a generous summary of the story and endgame at no extra cost to subscribers. It’s a way for Sony and Bungie to say an accessible “farewell” to the title that marked generations of multiplayer players.
The rollout is staggered by time zone, so some users may need to wait a few hours for the game to appear in the library.
