Real Madrid may have announced the signing of Julián Álvarez as the main reinforcement for next season, but the Spanish club continues to map the market in search of more pieces for the squad.

Midfield remains one of the positions closely monitored by Merengues managers. Among the most mentioned names in recent months are the Portuguese Vitinha and João Neves, a duo from Paris Saint-Germain who have established themselves as key players in Luis Enrique’s scheme.

Both bring together technical quality, game vision and regularity that would make them high-level options for the sector. However, the possibility of business is practically zero.

In an exclusive statement to journalist Fabrizio Romano, super agent Jorge Mendes was direct about the future of the two Portuguese national team players.

“Vitinha and João (Neves) were never an option for anyone. They are non-negotiable for Paris Saint-Germain and are very, very happy at PSG,” said Mendes.

The agent’s position leaves no room for doubt. According to him, PSG has no intention of negotiating the midfielders, who remain fully committed to the Parisian club.

Importance of the duo in the PSG project

Vitinha and João Neves have been instrumental in PSG’s recent campaign, which has won important titles, including the Champions League. Their stay reinforces the stability of the French midfield at a time of consolidation of the squad.

For Real Madrid, the message ends speculation that had been gaining strength since the beginning of the transfer window, especially with the possible arrival of José Mourinho as coach.
