Vivo Mobile officially introduced, this Monday (8), the global edition for 2026 ofVivo Y31s 5G, a low-cost mobile device that represents a modernization of the model originally launched in China in 2021. Although some details still remain confidential, the new device already stands out for its robust construction, proven by IP68 and IP69+ certifications, as well as a Snapdragon processor and a large 6,500 mAh battery.

This launch, which is configured as a subtle variation of the original Y31 5G, maintains the visual identity common to other affordable cell phones from the Vivo brand. Available in black and lilac colors, the smartphone guarantees a promise of high durability thanks to its IP68, IP69+ and MIL-STD-810H certifications, providing robust protection against dust, heated water jets and impacts from drops. This remarkable resistance in an entry-level device offers a competitive edge, rarely found in devices in this price range and which significantly extends the useful life of the phone for the consumer.

Internally, the device is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space. This configuration, although considered basic, is designed to deliver satisfactory performance in everyday activities and should handle less graphically demanding games without problems.

Among the aspects still shrouded in mystery, the smartphone screen is one of the main ones. However, it is known that the device will come with a 6.75-inch panel, displaying Full HD+ resolution and a maximum brightness of up to 1,050 nits. The most likely expectation points to an IPS LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, but additional information is awaited. Additionally, the model offers stereo audio, with a function that increases the volume by up to 400%.

For photography enthusiasts, the Y31s offers an essential set of cameras. On the front, a 32 MP lens is dedicated to selfies, while on the rear, a dual configuration includes a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP auxiliary sensor, the latter to help with depth calculation. On the other hand, one of the model’s biggest attractions is its generous 6,500 mAh battery, which supports 44 W fast charging.

Finalizing the list of specifications already confirmed, the device has 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity. It also includes a lighting system on the back, developed to improve the quality of photos and videos in low-light conditions, and operates with the Android 16 system, overlaid by the OriginOS 6 interface. Details about the schedule for future updates have not yet been released.
