An unusual situation involving socialite and businesswoman Kim Kardashian became the target of a joke by two Formula 1 drivers, close to her boyfriend, multi-champion Lewis Hamilton. Those responsible for the virtual “trolling” were the Italian Kimi Antonelli and the Englishman George Russell, both competing for the Mercedes team.

Kardashian was present at the Monaco Grand Prix, held last weekend. The race culminated in Antonelli’s victory, while Hamilton secured second place on the podium, in a highlight event on the motorsport calendar.

A video released by the young Italian driver on his social networks, Instagram and TikTok, shows the origin of the joke. The reality TV star was caught using the number 1 towel, traditionally given to the winner of the race, to dry off from the champagne bath that Lewis Hamilton gave him during the trophy presentation celebration.

At just 19 years old and currently in the isolated lead of the 2026 drivers’ championship, Kimi Antonelli stages the search for his item in the video, asking in a fun way: “Hey, have you seen my towel?”. The young driver’s attitude reflects the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that sometimes permeates behind the scenes of Formula 1, where rivalry on the track coexists with fun off it.

Following the recording, Antonelli extends the question to his teammate, George Russell, saying: “Hey, George, have you seen my towel?” The repercussion on social media was immediate, with one internet user commenting: “Will Lewis Hamilton be cheap?”

Antonelli’s victory at the Monaco Grand Prix represented his fifth consecutive victory in the 2026 season. He has accumulated a total of 156 points in the drivers’ championship, with Lewis Hamilton in second place, with 90 points, and George Russell in third place, with 88 points.
