Digital content creator Thiago Alcântara, known as “Iae Break”, released a moving video on his online platforms, reporting that, despite the invitation, he was unable to be on board one of the helicopters involved in the accident that occurred this Sunday (14) in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
With tears in his eyes, Alcântara detailed that the artist Oliver Tree, who came to the country to interact with the Brazilian public — to whom he attributed a similar energy to his own — was the reason for the flight. The influencer confessed that he was among those invited for the same route, however, an urgent commitment already scheduled prevented him from boarding, which, ironically, took him away from the tragedy that killed other people on board.
Thiago Alcântara also mentioned having been introduced to Oliver Tree through music producer Lucas Frota. Both Frota and Tree, unfortunately, lost their lives in the unfortunate plane crash that shocked the metropolitan region.
Recently, Oliver Tree and “Iae Break”, which has an audience of 3.3 million followers on their digital platforms, recorded several videos exploring iconic tourist spots in Rio de Janeiro, in moments of relaxation before the fatality.
In his tribute, Alcântara described Oliver as someone who had “a truly giant heart”, highlighting the special connection that had formed between the two.
