After concluding its annual developer conference (WWDC), Apple is now focused on implementing its latest software innovations. However, a recent rumor released by Bloomberg suggests that the technology giant has saved three significant features from iOS 27, intended to be released to the public at a later stage.
Officially presented, the long-awaited iOS 27 emerges as a substantial update, promising to optimize the performance of iPhones. The new operating system improves hardware utilization, resulting in greater speed, better memory management and energy savings, in addition to significantly expanding artificial intelligence functionalities, introducing the innovative Siri AI, demonstrating the company’s growing focus on more integrated and intelligent solutions for users.
The Bloomberg report emphasizes that these additional features, still in the development phase, will provide more customization options for the iPhone’s native camera app and Apple Watch management, indicating Apple’s tendency to offer greater control and adaptability to users. The main “reserved” new features include:
- Apple is developing customization for the iPhone Camera app, allowing users to choose interface icons and add widgets;
- A new tab for Siri AI capabilities has already been included in the first beta of iOS 27 for developers;
- The operating system will integrate other chatbots and artificial intelligence services, expanding the assistant ecosystem;
- Siri AI and iOS 27, in addition to ChatGPT, will have direct access to platforms such as Gemini and Claude, scheduled for launch at the end of the year;
- An adapted version of the “Modular Ultra” dial, previously exclusive to the more premium Apple Watch, will be extended to other editions of the smart watch, with simplified tools.
New iOS 27 operating system will arrive alongside the next iPhone models
iOS 27 also incorporates other significant innovations to Apple’s operating system, such as the introduction of Liquid Glass, a new design philosophy. This update brings more elaborate visual elements and allows users to adjust the intensity of visual effects according to their preferences.
Currently, iOS 27 is in the beta testing stage, accessible only to developers. Apple confirmed that, next month, a beta version will be released to the general public. The expectation is that the final update will arrive in September, a period traditionally reserved by the company for the launch of its new iPhone lines.
