O Instituto Médico-Legal (IML) Afrânio Peixoto, localizado no Rio de Janeiro, anunciou nesta terça-feira (16) a conclusão do processo de identificação de todas as pessoas envolvidas no trágico acidente de helicóptero. The last victim to have his identity confirmed by authorities was renowned American singer Oliver Tree.
To recognize the artist, the IML used dental arch analysis, a robust forensic method that is often crucial in cases of disasters that make identification difficult in other ways. This technique provides closure for families and fans, solidifying information about what happened.
Previously, other individuals had already been duly recognized: Brazilian citizens Lucas Brito, Charles Marsillac and Alexandre Souza, as well as Argentines Gaspar Prim and Lucas Vignale.
Investigations into the incident remain under the responsibility of the Rio Civil Police, specifically at the 42nd Police Station, located in Recreio dos Bandeirantes. Additionally, the competent authorities are awaiting the technical opinion of the Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (Cenipa), in addition to carrying out other important steps to fully clarify the causes and circumstances that led to the aircraft crash.
