Coach André Jardine, known for his time at São Paulo and the Brazilian Olympic team, took charge of Shabab Al-Ahli. The club, based in the United Arab Emirates, confirmed the arrival of the Brazilian professional for the new season.

The Arab team made the hiring of the coach official this Wednesday (17), through a statement released on its social platforms. Jardine signed an agreement valid until the 2026/27 season, with an extension expected, and arrives to fill the vacancy left by the Portuguese Paulo Sousa, former Flamengo coach.

The move to UAE football comes after Jardine cemented his name as one of the most successful coaches in Club América’s recent history. His career in Mexico was marked by a period of intense conquest and recognition.

Over three years at the helm of the Mexican giant, the Brazilian commander won an impressive total of six trophies.

Among the victories are three Mexican Championships (two Apertura and one Clausura), a Mexican Super Cup, a Champions Cup (competing against MLS clubs) and a Champions Championship (a tournament exclusive to Mexican teams).
