Samsung updates QuickStar with much-requested network speed indicator in One UI 9.0 beta
Samsung has released an important update to the QuickStar module, an integral part of the Good Lock ecosystem, which adds a feature long awaited by consumers: the network speed indicator in the status bar. This functionality, which first arrives for users of the beta version of One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, is now available for devices such as the Galaxy S26 line. The inclusion of this tool meets a long-standing demand, offering more direct visibility into connection performance, something already common in other Android interfaces and which now improves the Samsung experience.
This essential update also restored the full functioning of QuickStar within Good Lock on devices running the new system, as it had been disabled due to previous incompatibility. By installing the latest version, identified by the number 11.0.03.15, users can access the new options and settings by navigating through the Good Lock application, going to the “Plugins” section, locating QuickStar and selecting the update icon next to it.

Recently, the Nice Shot module received a series of interface corrections and had its stability improved, demonstrating the company’s agility in adapting and optimizing its entire personalization ecosystem for the upcoming One UI 9.0.

The introduction of One UI 9.0 to Good Lock is driving a rapid cycle of updates across several Samsung modules, ensuring compatibility and new functions. With full support for QuickStar, there are still three plugins that require final adjustments, and the company’s team continues to work intensely to ensure full compatibility and good performance of all tools with the new Android 17.
QuickStar version 11.0.03.15 also introduces significant improvements to weather information viewing options. Additionally, it grants users the ability to disable the “Ongoing Chip”, a small indicator that signals which applications are actively running in the background. These new features offer superior control over interface customization, allowing users to remove visual elements they consider non-essential from the status bar, optimizing the clarity and aesthetics of the system.
