Twenty electric cars arrive on the Brazilian market in the second half of 2026 with new brands
The Brazilian automotive market is preparing for a phase of intense activity in the second half of 2026. This period promises to surpass the first half in volume, with the expectation of more than 50 new models, ranging from the renewal of already known vehicles, such as the Fiat Argo, to the debut of automakers such as DFM (Dongfeng) and Baic on the national scene.
A significant portion of these new developments will be dedicated to electric cars, which consolidate their presence in Brazil as a viable and attractive alternative for consumers. Around 40% of the total launches, that is, 20 of the more than 50 models planned, will have fully electric propulsion or will have purely electric versions within their lines.
In addition to the diversity of models, the period also marks the arrival of several automakers that will make their official debut in the country. Among them are Baic, DFM (Dongfeng), IM (MG), Denza, Cadillac and Lotus, all with plans to start sales or order deliveries in the second half of the year, and each bringing at least one electric vehicle in its initial portfolio.
