These results guaranteed their unbeaten record and leadership of the tournament with 11 points. The format of the Nations League foresees that eighteen teams participate in a total of twelve clashes each. After the duel with Ukraine, Brazil will still face Italy, Slovenia and Canada, all in the Slovenian stage. Japan, also with 11 points, is in second place in the table.
After finalizing the commitments in Slovenia, the Brazilian delegation will head to Chicago, in the United States, for the last week of the qualifying phase, between the 15th and 19th of July. There, the opponents will be France, the United States, Poland and China. VNL champion in 2021, the Brazilian team dreams of its second title in the tournament, an achievement that would put it on par with Russia, France and Poland, which currently have two titles each and are the competition’s biggest winners.
