A woman in Texas claims she was chased and attacked by a group of people who, during the violent attack, shouted phrases such as “Free Karmelo”, expressing support for a convicted murderer. The victim shared her experience on social media, revealing the brutal nature of the attack.

She described suffering a black eye, head injuries that required stitches and considerable bleeding, all the result of an assault that she said was completely unprovoked and occurred over the weekend.

In the state of Texas, a woman is recovering from severe injuries after reporting that she was violently attacked by a group of women, resulting in an assault scenario.

The likely motivation behind the brutality? Fervent support for Karmelo Anthony’s case.

In a detailed and impactful post on social media, the victim reported having been approached by a group of strangers while she and a friend were on the way to the car, after leaving for a social event.

Local police in Texas confirmed to Fox News Digital that a woman was attacked by a group of individuals chanting “Free Karmelo” during an apparently random attack.

The assault incident occurred in the city of Longview, Texas, over the past weekend.

In other developments related to the case, a supporter of Karmelo Anthony has reportedly been fired, and other defenders face severe backlash for comments on the verdict.

The victim detailed in his post: “As they attacked us, they shouted ‘Free Karmelo’, saying they were going to attack the shortest white girl they could find.”

Police authorities in Longview, Texas, arrested a suspect linked to an allegedly random attack on a woman, in which the attacking group exclaimed “Free Karmelo”, in direct reference to the well-known case of Karmelo Anthony.

Karmelo Anthony was convicted of murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison after being found responsible for the death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf in a stabbing that occurred during a high school athletics competition. The verdict generated intense public debate, highlighting complex discussions about juvenile justice and the consequences of violence in school environments, raising questions about the social dynamics involved.

Recently, on Monday, a collective of lawyers specializing in civil rights and criminal defense announced their union to fight for the appeal of Anthony’s conviction.

He now has a new legal team, which includes the renowned law firm of Ben Crump.

The woman attacked in Longview declared that the attack was completely unmotivated. She reiterated in her publication that she “never said a word to these girls”, that she “never looked at them” and guaranteed that she had no prior knowledge of them before what happened.

Fox News Digital obtained confirmation from the police that the woman was brutally beaten and filed a complaint after being attacked without provocation by a group of unknown men, who were allegedly shouting “Free Karmelo”.

In her same post, the victim emphasized that Anthony’s case “has nothing” to do with her, despite having resulted in serious injuries, such as a black eye, the need for staples in the head and heavy bleeding.

Fox News Digital spoke to the victim’s father, who said his daughter is still deeply shaken by the incident, but considers it crucial that the public “knows what happened,” referring to her post on social media.

Fox News Digital has confirmed that the Longview Police Department is investigating the attack and has already detained a suspect in connection with the case. The identity of the suspect has not been released by authorities.

The investigation into the facts remains ongoing.
