Cruzeiro faces financial obstacle of R$10.5 million to sign striker Gabriel Pec from LA Galaxy
Cruzeiro’s board maintains its firm intention of securing the signing of striker Gabriel Pec, but the financial terms presented by LA Galaxy have not yet been fully aligned. There is a difference of around 2 million dollars, which represents approximately R$10.5 million at the current price. This value highlights the challenge for Brazilian clubs in repatriating athletes who gained prominence and market value in foreign leagues, such as Major League Soccer (MLS).
The team from Minas Gerais, known as Raposa, signaled that it could offer up to 10 million dollars for the player, an amount that corresponds to around R$52.3 million. However, the Californian club insists on receiving at least 12 million dollars, a total of approximately R$62.8 million, to release the athlete.
The possibility of Pec wearing the shirt of a Brazilian team again has the full approval of coach Artur Jorge. The Portuguese coach, in fact, is the great promoter of the acquisition of the 25-year-old athlete within Toca da Raposa.
Gabriel Pec began his professional career at Vasco da Gama, playing for the Rio club from 2019 to 2023. Currently, the striker is in his third season with the LA Galaxy shirt.
