Receipt of PIS/Pasep amounts: new batch is released this Thursday (25); check out how to consult and order
A new batch of payments referring to forgotten amounts from the extinct PIS/Pasep will be made this Thursday, June 25, 2026. This is the sixth batch of releases scheduled for the year, benefiting workers who had a formal contract between 1971 and 1988. Citizens entitled to these resources must check their eligibility and follow the procedures to make the withdrawal.
Understanding the PIS/Pasep quotas: the distinction between the salary bonus
The PIS/Pasep quotas represent a distinct benefit from the Salary Allowance (the “PIS” or “Pasep” paid annually). They come from deposits made by employers in individual accounts of workers who worked with a formal contract between 1971 and October 4, 1988. The Social Integration Program (PIS) was aimed at employees in the private sector, administered by Caixa Econômica Federal, while the Public Servant Asset Formation Program (Pasep) was for public servants, managed by Banco do Brasil.
With the enactment of Law No. 13,932/2019, the PIS/Pasep Fund was extinguished, and the entire balance of quotas was transferred to the Service Time Guarantee Fund (FGTS). This change aimed to simplify access to amounts, which many workers were unaware of or had difficulty withdrawing. It is essential that beneficiaries understand that this is money accumulated over decades, and not the annual allowance currently paid, which follows other rules and criteria.

Eligibility check: how to know if there is a balance to be received
To find out if you have amounts to receive from PIS/Pasep quotas, the process is done digitally, through the Gov.br platform. The consultation is simple and quick, requiring only active registration on the government portal.
Follow the steps below to check your eligibility:
1. Access the Gov.br portal in your browser.
2. Search for the section or use the internal search to find the page “Check PIS/PASEP quota balance”.
3. Click the “Start” button located at the top of the page.
4. On the system login screen, select the “Login with Gov.br” option and enter your credentials (CPF and password). Make sure your Gov.br account has a Silver or Gold security level to access all services.
After logging in, the system will inform you if there is a balance available in your name and the total value of the PIS/Pasep quotas to which you are entitled.
Methods for requesting withdrawal of retained amounts
If a balance is identified in your name, the refund request can be made in two main ways: through the FGTS application or in person at a Caixa Econômica Federal branch. Both options aim to facilitate workers’ access to their money.
To request a withdrawal through the FGTS application, follow the instructions:
1. Install and access the FGTS application on your cell phone, available for Android and iOS.
2. Log in with your CPF and password. If you don’t have a registration, create one.
3. Within the application, look for the option relating to PIS/Pasep reimbursement. This option is usually highlighted or in the withdrawals section.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to indicate the bank account in which you want to receive the amount.
For those who prefer in-person service, it is possible to go to any Caixa Econômica Federal branch. There, the attendant will be able to carry out the necessary procedures to reimburse your PIS/Pasep quotas, upon presentation of an identification document with a photo.
Millions of reais await withdrawal: the importance of active search
There are still millions of reais in PIS/Pasep quotas that have not been withdrawn by their beneficiaries. This situation occurs for several reasons, including ignorance of the existence of the money, confusion with other benefits or lack of information about withdrawal procedures. It is the worker’s right to have access to these values.
Caixa Econômica Federal and the Federal Government have made continuous efforts to publicize the existence of these resources and facilitate access to them. However, the initiative to verify eligibility and make the request rests with the citizen himself. Not leaving this money “forgotten” is essential to guarantee an extra resource that can make a difference in the family budget. Active search and periodic consultation are the best ways to ensure that no amount owed is left behind.
