Filipe Luís, renowned former player, is about to complete obtaining the UEFA Pro license, an essential credential for his role as coach of Monaco. He signed an agreement with the French club, valid for two seasons, extending until June 2028. The certification will allow the coach to perform his role without any impediment or regulatory penalty in high-level European football.

Behind the scenes, the licensing process is progressing decisively. This procedure involved a long journey towards the equivalence of certifications, given that the former full-back already had the UEFA Conmebol license, acquired in Brazil. UEFA Pro approval is a strict requirement to take on elite teams on the continent, ensuring that the professional meets the required standards.

The official announcement by the French club has been delayed precisely by the final stage of signing these new documents. However, despite the pending formality, the future commander has dedicated himself fully to his work, actively participating in the preparation of the squad for the next season.

Filipe Luís, who turns 40, has not been linked to teams since the beginning of March, after leaving Flamengo. During his time at Rubro-Negro, the former full-back accumulated a successful record, helping the team win six major titles.
