Unprecedented campaign and new weapon take the Matador to Purgatory
The main attraction of Revelations is an original campaign that takes place after the events of the main game. The Matador is transported to Purgatory, where his shield is destroyed at the beginning of the story, forcing him to wield the newly developed Chain Spear.
This versatile weapon functions as both a powerful combat tool and a movement device. Players can cling to enemies, perform devastating melee attacks, throw the weapon long distances, perform broad strikes and circle around opponents while firing. As they advance, they regain the ability to freely switch between the Shield Saw and Chain Spear, with endgame enhancements that encourage strategic weapon switching during combat. The Spear also has its own progression system that significantly increases mobility compared to the base game.
Expanded post-game content and new challenges
In addition to the campaign, Revelations offers a substantial amount of activities after completing the story. Players can explore a large hub area filled with hidden secrets, return to levels with new puzzles and combat challenges, face off against an Overlord, and test their skills in Master Arenas designed for experienced players.
The DLC also expands Ripatorium with new maps, additional enemies, and increased customization options, allowing players to experiment with different settings and fighting styles. Combined with the game’s varied difficulty options, the expansion aims to provide a rewarding experience for both casual players and veteran demon hunters.
