Microsoft announced the removal of eight more titles from the Xbox Game Pass catalog, with their departure scheduled for July 31st. Among the games that will leave the service are popular ones like Celeste, Crusader Kings 3 and Sniper Elite: Resistance. The information was released in the “Coming soon” section of the platform’s official application, reinforcing the constant renewal of the collection that subscribers need to follow.

These withdrawals mark the end of a period with several changes to the Game Pass library. Previously, on July 15, another eleven games had already been deactivated, totaling nineteen productions that will no longer be available to users throughout this month.

The complete list of games that will be discontinued in this second fortnight was first reported by a specialized portal. Subscription members have until the last day of July to finish their journeys on these titles or play them for the last time on consoles, computers and in the cloud, before their permanent removal.

Games leaving the Xbox Game Pass service on July 31st

  • Back to the Dawn (available on consoles, PC and cloud)
  • Celeste (available on consoles, PC and cloud)
  • Crusader Kings 3 (available on consoles, PC and cloud)
  • Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord (available on consoles, PC and cloud)
  • My Friendly Neighborhood (available on consoles, PC and cloud)
  • Rain World (available on consoles, PC and cloud)
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance (available on consoles, PC and cloud)
  • Whiskerwood (only available on PC)

Before games are removed, Game Pass subscribers have the opportunity to purchase them at a discount of up to 20%. This is a chance for those who want to continue playing, as the purchase guarantees permanent access to the titles even after they are removed from the catalog, as long as the respective version is available for purchase in the Microsoft store.

Microsoft’s strategy is to keep Game Pass in constant motion, updating the catalog in two monthly phases, with additions and removals of games. This approach, while continually renewing the library, sets a limited time for users to enjoy certain releases.

Despite the vast amount of games that are leaving the service, Game Pass will still include new options before the end of July. The highlight among the upcoming releases is Halo: Campaign Evolved, which is scheduled to debut on July 28th.
