T-Mobile operator customers began reporting problems with the company’s services on July 26, 2026, indicating the beginning of widespread instability on the network.
The Downdetector platform recorded more than 40,000 outage notifications just after 4pm ET on July 27, 2026, indicating a spike in complaints. The instability also generated a significant increase in Google searches, highlighting the extent of the problem and users’ dependence on mobile services.
The majority of incidents, which account for more than 60% of the volume of reports, were directly linked to a failure in the telephone service, making calls and basic communication impossible for the operator’s customers.
To date, T-Mobile has not released any official information about the forecast for the complete normalization of services. The interruption appears to have come about abruptly, without any type of prior notice to its subscribers.
