Thousands of T-Mobile customers are reporting outages in cell phone service and 5G home internet, according to data from Downdetector.com. The problems began today, July 27, 2026, with the number of reports growing rapidly throughout the afternoon.
Downdetector.com, a platform known for collecting and analyzing user reports on the status of online services in real time, indicated that T-Mobile has reported a possible service outage.
As of 1:23 pm (Pacific time), more than 9,000 users had already reported failures on the platform, which compiles information about outages from various sources.
Most individuals who reported problems to Downdetector mentioned difficulties with their cell phone signal and 5G internet connection in their homes.
Reports grow after initial time
Problems with T-Mobile affected more than 15 thousand users by 1:30 pm on the same day, showing an escalation in incidents.
Company has not yet officially commented
At around 1:33 pm, the number of affected users had already surpassed the 23,000 mark. T-Mobile, however, had not yet officially commented on its social media platforms.

The operator was not immediately available to comment on the situation.
Number of affected continues to rise
The interruption of services continued to impact an increasing number of people, with more than 34 thousand users reporting difficulties as of 1:37 pm.
About five minutes later, at 1:42 pm, the total number of negative reports about T-Mobile services had already reached the mark of more than 47 thousand users.
The problem intensified at 1:44 pm, when more than 60,000 customers had notified Downdetector about the interruptions.

At 1:49 pm, the number of users experiencing problems with the mobile service approached 80 thousand.
The outage persisted, and reports of problems with T-Mobile exceeded 110,000 users as of 1:56 p.m.

At 2:03 pm, the situation worsened, with more than 140 thousand users registering complaints.
Until that moment, T-Mobile had not issued any official statement on its social networks.
Persistent growth in reports
At around 2:13 pm, more than 160,000 users had already reported service interruptions.
The total number of customers with problems approached 200,000 at 2:16 pm, indicating the extent of the failure.
At 2:27 p.m., the number of users reporting problems with T-Mobile’s service reached more than 220,000.
