Monster Hunter Wilds update releases offline missions on August 4
Capcom announced on July 27, 2026 that the adventure and hunting title Monster Hunter Wilds, accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and computers, will undergo a significant update. The patch, identified as Ver.1.042.00.00, is scheduled for August 4, 2026, with release scheduled for 11:30 am Japan time.
The highlight of the new version is the introduction of the ability to participate in event and challenge missions without the need for an internet connection. A total of 26 of these tasks, including the well-known quest “Puropopor is not crying”, which now becomes a permanent feature, will be available for offline gameplay. This change aims to provide more freedom to users, who will be able to continue their hunting journeys at any time, including in places where network access is unstable, improving the experience and availability of the game.

Additionally, the update brings a series of fixes to problems reported in the game, including a bug that caused the training barrel to appear twice in the simplified camp configuration. For the patch to be properly applied, Capcom has scheduled maintenance on the servers for the same August 4, 2026, lasting from 8:50 am to 11:30 am, Tokyo time.
