The first information released by informant Digital Chat Station indicated that the OnePlus 16, the brand’s next premium smartphone, would be presented in September. However, the same leak expert recently updated the schedule, pointing to a one-month delay in its arrival on the market.
According to the most recent publication from the well-known informant, the expectation is that the OnePlus 16 will be officially revealed in October, which would put the launch in line with the date chosen for its previous model.
The OnePlus 15, for example, debuted in China in October last year. This consistency in the launch period in October may reflect the company’s strategy to take advantage of periods of greater demand or strategically position itself in the calendar of global smartphone launches.
The leaks also suggest that the OnePlus 16 will maintain a visual aesthetic similar to that of the OnePlus 15, with emphasis on keeping the rear camera module in a characteristic square format.
Regarding specifications, the future OnePlus 16 should be equipped with Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. The expected screen is a 6.78-inch OLED panel with extremely thin edges and an impressive 185Hz refresh rate, providing superior visual fluidity. One of the most notable features is the supposed 9,000mAh battery, a significantly high capacity for a smartphone, which could guarantee extended autonomy for users. For photography, rumors point to a 50MP main camera and a 200MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, promising high image quality.
