Royal Enfield reported, on July 27, about a significant change in the maintenance schedules for its motorcycles in the Brazilian market. From that date onwards, the first inspection of the manufacturer’s models starts to occur after 1,000 kilometers driven, accompanied by a significant drop, which can reach 34%, in the costs of these regular maintenance for most vehicles.
The automaker announced the measure during a press conference, detailing that the new policy applies to all consumers who purchased their motorcycles from July 27th. Owners who purchased before this date will continue with the previously established inspection and mileage schedule.
The main change lies in the first service interval, which for Royal Enfield motorcycles in Brazil is now every 1,000 kilometers. Previously, this initial maintenance was mandatory after just 500 kilometers, a requirement that generated dissatisfaction among buyers. This short period of time implied a return to the dealership immediately after purchase, and Royal Enfield was the only brand in the country to adopt such a short period for the first check, a factor that also caused discomfort.
