Staff at the Hersheypark theme park, located in Pennsylvania, had to intervene to remove an unexpected visitor. A baby deer was found inside the complex.

A video recording, made by Kimberly Hertz and posted on social media, captured the moment when park staff members in Hershey handled the animal. The baby deer was resting peacefully next to a tree, right next to a walkway with a large flow of people.

To ensure the safety of both the animal and visitors, professionals covered the deer’s head with a towel before carefully transporting it outside the park facilities.

Representatives from Hershey Entertainment clarified, in an official communication, that “the deer seen in the images was a wild calf that appeared to be in danger and exhibited erratic behavior near one of the access entrances for Hersheypark employees.” The statement was sent to PennLive.

Upon detection of the deer, the park administration promptly cordoned off the affected area. The team carefully removed the animal from the visitor area, contacted the Pennsylvania Game Commission and strictly followed all guidelines for managing the incident. This procedure demonstrates the importance of following established protocols for the safety of wildlife and the public in urban and high-traffic environments.

Hersheypark confirmed that despite the unusual event, the deer’s presence did not result in any disruption to the theme park’s regular operations.
