The European press has been discussing the possibility of a reunion of the famous attacking trio with Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar, and Inter Miami appears as a likely destination for the Brazilian striker at the end of his contract with Santos. Neymar, who has a contract with the São Paulo team until December 31, 2026, adopts the pattern of defining his future close to the end of the agreements, thus fueling rumors in the transfer market.

A report published on August 10, 2026 by the Spanish newspaper Marca indicated Inter Miami’s interest in signing the number 10 to recreate the attack that made history in European football. However, the Spanish outlet itself acknowledged that the athlete and his team have not yet started negotiations with the North American club for next season, maintaining their focus on their responsibilities with Santos.

The current condition of Neymar’s contract allows the striker to leave the Santos team without transfer costs after the end of the 2026 season. During a charity event for his institute in early August, the player himself publicly declared that his professional future is still uncertain.

What makes the possible re-edition of the MSN trio so attractive for Neymar

The possibility of spending time with old friends again is seen as a major attraction for the player. Added to this is the prospect of a reduction in the pressure currently faced by the São Paulo club, which is involved in the fight against the bottom of the Brazilian Championship table. An eventual transfer to Inter Miami would represent a new competitive routine and the chance to return to play alongside Messi and Suárez.

The trio of Messi, Suárez and Neymar played together for Barcelona between 2014 and 2017, a period marked by the victory of nine official titles. Among the main victories are the Champions League, two Spanish Championships and three King’s Cups. The most notable season was 2014/15, when they achieved the triple crown in the main competitions, recording a total of 122 goals, with 58 from Messi, 39 from Neymar and 25 from Suárez.
