The Real Madrid team officially announced, on August 10, 2026, the shirt numbers that its athletes will wear during the 2026/27 season. The release brings important news, especially with the confirmation that Brazilian striker Endrick will wear the historic number 9 shirt.
The attacking stars, Mbappé and Vinicius Jr., will continue with the traditional numbers 10 and 7, respectively. Meanwhile, the Spanish club’s new signings have known their numbers for the new campaign.

In defense, left-back Cucurella will receive the number 17, and defender Konaté will wear the number 16 shirt. Winger Dumfries, also a reinforcement for the sector, will wear number 24.
For midfield and attack, Bernardo Silva will wear number 20, Diomande will wear number 25, and young promise Carlos Espí will wear number 19.
Brazilian striker Endrick, who returned to the Madrid club after a loan period at Lyon, resumed the number 9 shirt, the same number he had already worn before his time in Ligue 1. The choice for number 9, traditionally reserved for great scorers in the history of Real Madrid, such as Alfredo Di Stéfano and Ronaldo Fenômeno, underlines the club’s expectations of the young talent.
However, there is recent information indicating that Real Madrid is evaluating the possibility of a new loan for the former Palmeiras player in the same transfer window, which would make the emblematic number 9 available again in the squad.
