The incident that sparked controversy at ENHYPEN’s concert
Criticism directed at Mina Chan intensified in the last weeks of July, following an episode during a concert by the band ENHYPEN in the United States. At the time, the influencer tried to intercede for Sunoo, one of the group’s members, to deliver flowers to Ni-ki, another member of Japanese origin. This attitude was seen by fans as a transgression of limits, generating a wave of accusations and online attacks against her.
Statement and apology from the influencer
Faced with the negative repercussions, Mina Chan published a long statement of apology on platform X (formerly Twitter). In it, she expressed her regret for what happened: “I feel that my actions took advantage of Sunoo’s kindness. I am truly sorry. I sincerely apologize to Sunoo and all of her fans. I deeply regret the rude behavior I demonstrated in America. I ruined the atmosphere of the event by prioritizing my own desire to meet Ni-ki over the precious time that Ni-ki, who loves America so much, deserved. I sincerely apologize.” The post tried to contain the dissatisfaction of its followers, but the pressure continued.
