Anyone waiting for a revolution in the South Korean manufacturer’s next big-screen device needs to align their expectations. Recent tests leaked in the Geekbench database show that the future high-end equipment will deliver a speed gain that is quite shy compared to the previous generation.

In practice, the most expensive model in the company’s new line of notebooks will not bring drastic innovations in its processing power. This finding throws cold water on brand enthusiasts who were waiting for an aggressive response to direct competitors.

Leaked numbers expose the internal hardware of the new premium tablet

The registration made on July 31, 2026 exposed the central components of the product, identified by the code SM-X946B. The information extracted from the testing platform details the following technical specifications of the device:

  • Factory installed Android 17 operating system.
  • RAM memory with a total capacity of 12 GB.
  • MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, confirming previous market rumors.

These marks yielded 2,424 points in the single-core test and 8,446 in the multi-core test. The result represents a marginal advantage over the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s Dimensity 9400+ processor, which registered 2,233 and 7,822 points under the same stress conditions.

Technology experts always warn that prototype evaluations do not predict the real capacity of the product that will reach stores. Unoptimized software and hardware in the testing phase tend to drag scores down, leaving room for system optimizations until the official announcement.

Design and screen must follow the visual standard of the previous generation

The external part of the equipment will also not undergo major redesigns. Behind-the-scenes information indicates that the manufacturer will recycle the chassis and display of the previous model, in addition to maintaining the same energy tank, differentiating itself from the Plus variant, which will receive an upgrade in this regard.

Buyers will find the already familiar 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel housed in a metal body with a thickness of around 5 millimeters. The power component will continue to offer 11,600 mAh of capacity, supporting 45 W recharges from the socket, exactly like the previous version.

This conservative stance reflects the current global sales scenario for large electronics. Instead of seeking sales volume, brands focus on high profit margins in the luxury segment, especially to compete with Apple’s iPad Pro line, which dominates the category with its M-series chips, forcing the competition to prioritize stability over risky changes with each cycle.

Pricing strategy will be decisive in attracting consumers

If the leak numbers materialize in the final product, the performance jump will be restricted to a range between 7% and 8%. During daily use, whether browsing the internet or consuming high-resolution videos, the average user will never notice this difference in fluidity.

Without new attractions on the housing or screen, the final cost on the shelves will dictate the pace of sales. A possible transfer of costs that makes the device more expensive between US$ 100 and US$ 200 will make the sellers’ mission extremely difficult when it comes to convincing the customer to abandon their old model.

Launch cycle of the South Korean brand comes into debate

Nobody questions the processing capacity of the future member of the Galaxy family. The device will continue to be at the top of the Android ecosystem food chain, running any heavy application with ease and handling multitasking without hiccups.

The problem lies in the creative stagnation of the mobile technology sector. The insistence of industry giants on pushing discreet updates every twelve months raises doubts about the viability of this business model in the long term, generating fatigue among the consumer public.

Expanding the time window between one generation and another appears to be the most logical solution for companies. A longer range would allow the development of truly innovative technologies, giving the customer a concrete reason to invest their money in hardware fresh from the factory.
