Leak reveals design of Zelda console and Pro Controller for Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo plans to introduce a new Switch 2 console and a Pro Controller, both created to celebrate the release of the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Despite recent speculation regarding these items, the first images of the hardware appeared on the internet on August 11, 2026, showing both the device and its respective control.

The console will come completely customized in tribute to the Zelda franchise. Its base features a combination of black and gold tones, highlighting the Triforce symbol. The new Joy-Con 2, in green, were developed with a special design and also feature the Triforce.
The Pro Controller displays a rich color palette, with black, gold and green accents. The Hylian crest was incorporated into the design, positioning itself in the center of the device.
The images also reveal the logo commemorating The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary. The art features Link in his original 8-bit era representation.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is scheduled to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 in a remake version later this year. So far, only a brief teaser has been released, which increases fans’ expectations for additional information about the title.
On July 11, 2026, the game received its official rating from the ESRB, a month before the console images were leaked. The information indicates that the new edition will feature “stunning visuals, updated designs and timeless gameplay.”
In addition to the news about the console and the game, details emerged regarding the casting of new actors for the long-awaited live-action Zelda film.
