The technology giant officially announced the arrival of its newest high-end device during presentations at the CES 2026 fair, held in the city of Las Vegas, in the United States, on January 6th. The model inaugurates a very high standard category within the brand’s portfolio, developed specifically to go head to head with the most expensive cell phones in the world, featuring an extremely thin chassis and a photographic set equipped with four 50 megapixel lenses.

The announcement took place during the Lenovo Tech World panel, a stage where the manufacturer also took the opportunity to give a glimpse of its unprecedented book-shaped foldable. One of the biggest highlights of the presentation was the confirmation that the new device will receive seven years of operating system updates, a historic move for the company that now matches the long-term support offered by rivals Samsung and Google. The European market will be the first to receive the news, with prices starting at around 999 euros.

Ultra-thin construction combined with military-grade strength

With an impressive thickness of just 6.99 millimeters and weighing around 186 grams, the launch is established as one of the slimmest devices in the current luxury segment. The housing is forged from brushed aluminum and bears the strict MIL-STD-810H military certification, ensuring that the equipment survives impacts and extreme weather conditions. Consumers will be able to choose between the Martini Olive and Carbon shades, both approved by the color authority Pantone to ensure maximum visual fidelity.

Protection against external elements has also been raised to the maximum level, bringing IP68 and IP69 certifications, which means the phone can withstand both prolonged diving in fresh water and high-pressure jets. To protect the display against everyday scratches and accidental drops, the manufacturer chose to use Gorilla Glass Victus 2 tempered glass on the front.

Ultra-high brightness display designed for media consumption

The front panel delivers an immersive experience through a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display, which runs at 1.5K resolution and offers a fluid refresh rate of 165 Hz, ideal for quick transitions. The brightness is a spectacle in itself, reaching absurd peaks of 6,200 nits, a number that definitively resolves any difficulty reading under direct sunlight, in addition to having Pantone validations for the exact reproduction of skin tones.

The consumption of films and series gains a boost with native support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision standards, which calibrate contrast and colors scene by scene. This entire visual interface is controlled by the new Hello UI, a software layer based on the recently released Android 16, which features built-in artificial intelligence tools to adapt the system’s operation to the user’s habits.

Four 50 MP cameras form the photographic set

The image capture department has been completely redesigned to house a rear module made up of four distinct sensors, all of them boasting 50 megapixel resolution.

  • Main lens equipped with the Sony Lytia 828 sensor, providing optical stabilization and a generous f/1.6 aperture to capture more light;
  • Periscopic telephoto camera based on the Sony Lytia 600, capable of delivering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom;
  • Ultrawide sensor with 122-degree field of view, which also works for macro mode photography;
  • 50 megapixel front camera with intelligent autofocus system for accurate selfies.

Content creators will be able to record videos in stunning 8K at 30 frames per second, or opt for the fluidity of 4K with Dolby Vision at 60 fps. Image processing is reinforced by Moto AI, an algorithm that cleans noise in night photos and reconstructs lost details when maximum zoom is required, ensuring sharpness even in challenging scenarios.

All this image processing happens locally, without depending on cloud servers, taking advantage of the brute force of the smartphone’s neural processing unit to perform complex tasks in fractions of a second.

State-of-the-art processing and high-density battery

The heart of the device is the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, manufactured using the advanced 3 nanometer process, working in conjunction with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and an impressive 1 TB of ultra-fast UFS 4.1 storage. This silicon set was designed to run heavy games and manage multiple applications simultaneously without choking, while the Adreno graphics card reduces power consumption during 3D rendering.

To keep the chassis so thin without sacrificing autonomy, the brand’s engineering team used a 5,200 mAh carbon-silicon battery, a high-density technology that allows more charge to be stored in less physical space, promising up to 52 hours of moderate use away from the socket. When the power runs out, the TurboPower system comes into action, supporting 90W cable charging and 50W wireless charging, recovering almost full battery power in a matter of minutes.

Ecosystem expansion with new foldable and accessories

The event also served as a showcase for the highly anticipated Razr Fold, the company’s first book-shaped foldable cell phone, which will feature a 6.6-inch external screen and an 8.1-inch internal flexible display with 2K resolution. The model will inherit the same set of rear cameras as its conventional brother and will have native support for the Moto Pen Ultra smart pen, expected to officially arrive in stores over the next few months.

The portfolio of wearables and utilities grew with the reveal of the new Moto Watch smart watch, which promises an incredible 13 days of battery life, as well as the Sound Flow speaker and the Moto Tag 2 digital tracker. These launches consolidate the Moto Things platform, focused on creating perfect, frictionless communication between all devices in the connected home.

Expected arrival of the device on the Brazilian market

The sale of the new high-end smartphone begins in Europe, costing 999 euros, with an expansion schedule that will reach Asia and Latin America during the semester. The official landing in Brazil is confirmed for the first half of 2026, although the national branch has not yet set a specific date or suggested price in reais. This aggressive move makes clear the manufacturer’s objective of winning back the public that demands maximum performance and luxury in the mobile universe.
