The “Mega Dimension” DLC for Pokémon Legends: ZA, one of the most anticipated expansions by fans, will be made available in physical format, following an already known distribution model. Similar to the “Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in 2023, the release takes place via a download code inside the packaging.
This strategy means that players will not receive a physical cartridge containing the game’s content, but rather a card with a code to redeem the expansion digitally. The initiative mainly serves collectors who wish to have the product box on their shelves, even if downloading is necessary.

While a wider global release for the physical version has yet to be officially announced, the franchise’s track record of other additional content provides a precedent.
