Poco has officially announced the arrival of two new smartphones on the Indian market, the Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power, confirming information circulated about the devices. Details regarding the design and specifications had already been provided by informants at the end of August 2026.
The company used its official account on the X platform to announce that the launches of Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power are scheduled for September 4th.
Among the features already announced, the Poco X8 Power will have an impressive 10,000mAh battery and a faux leather back finish. The standard model, Poco X8, will come equipped with a 9,000mAh battery. These high capacities promise a long duration of use, meeting an important demand in the country’s intermediate and advanced smartphone segment.
Although Poco has not provided additional information about the phones so far, recent leaks indicate that the X8 could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro, and the X8 Power, an adaptation of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, a common practice for the brand in the market.
However, both devices are expected to present minor changes compared to their counterparts in the Redmi line.
Odds are that the X8 model will come with a 6.83-inch screen, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor and a 50MP main rear camera.
The Poco X8 Power, according to rumors, should also feature a 6.83-inch screen, but with a more powerful Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
Poco is expected to release more detailed information about the smartphones in the coming days.
