The court decided to sentence the singer Doroth Helena de Sousa Alves, known as MC Pipokinha, and four others involved in the “Esquenta do Magrão” event, which took place in Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul, on August 30, 2026. They must pay R$162,100 for collective moral damages.
The judicial determination indicates that MC Pipokinha performed a performance with openly sexual content in a public space, being observed by teenagers, some around 14 years old. This is the crucial point for the conviction of the artist and others involved.
Born in Tubarão, Santa Catarina, the 28-year-old artist established her residence in São Paulo.
She gained recognition in the street funk scene, a style called “mandelão”, characterized by provocative lyrics and presentations with sensual movements, as well as strong interaction with the audience.
Among the songs that boosted the singer’s career, “Bota na Pipokinha”, “Eu sou a MC Pipokinha” and “Tira as Crianças da Sala” stand out.
In a previous interview, the singer herself clarified that the intention of her work is to transpose the narratives present in her compositions to the stage. She compared her shows to a “theatre” or “a bitching musical”, where the music would be the story.
In their performances, dancers participate in interactions with volunteer fans, including touching and pelvic thrusts. MC Pipokinha often wears a crown, presenting herself as the “queen of bitching”, and the scenes, which she assures are consented by her fans, generated great repercussion on social media.
Details about MC Pipokinha’s shows
The artist has a contractual relationship with the São Paulo producer Novo Império, specialized in funk. Businessman Wagner Magalhães, known as Vavá, has extensive experience in the sector and was responsible for managing MC Fioti’s career during the period of the success “Bum bum tam tam”, being even mentioned in the song’s lyrics.
On its digital platforms, MC Pipokinha displays both provocative images and stories of overcoming challenges. Recently, she shared a moment in which her father was driving a car that she gave him as a gift, expressing emotion by declaring: “My old man has a new car, thank you, God.”
Singer’s profile suspended on digital platforms
MC Pipokinha’s official profile, which contained several videos with sexual choreography involving his dancers, was removed from Instagram. In September 2022, the platform suspended the @pipokinhareal account for violating its “community guidelines on sexual advances.”
The singer initiated legal proceedings in São Paulo to regain access to her account and requested compensation of R$90,000 from Facebook, owner of Instagram. MC’s initial request was rejected, but she still has the option to appeal the decision.
MC Pipokinha expressed dissatisfaction at having lost more than 510 thousand followers with the September ban. Despite the legal setback, she managed, in practice, to recover her audience by creating the account @pihrainha, where she had already surpassed 621 thousand followers, although this new account is also currently inactive.
Incidents at MC Pipokinha presentations
Another notable event was an involuntary kick given by dancer Jonas Kaik to a fan, which occurred on January 12, during the sensual choreography of a show. The dancer expressed his regret on social media, stating that the fan received immediate care and was fine.
After helping the fan, who according to Kaik, was “everything calm, everything at peace”, the incident increased visibility and curiosity around MC Pipokinha’s performances. Since January 12, the artist has been one of the names frequently discussed on social media in Brazil.
Controversial comments about teaching careers
In 2023, the artist faced the cancellation of at least seven shows after the release of a video in which she made disrespectful comments about teachers’ salaries. On that occasion, she missed scheduled presentations in several states, such as Rio Grande do Norte, Santa Catarina, Distrito Federal, Espírito Santo, Rondônia, Minas Gerais and São Paulo.
MC Pipokinha mocked the teachers’ profession and earnings when responding to a follower on Instagram, who reported having argued with a teacher because of the funk singer.
“Being a teacher, you have to really love the profession, because you hear insults from other people’s children, you have nothing to do at home, you have to be a teacher. And still receive what a teacher receives, which is almost nothing. A teacher is humiliated… just for being a teacher”, declared the singer.
She complemented the statement with a financial comparison: “My dance costs R$70,000: 30 minutes on stage, I earn R$70,000. She doesn’t even earn R$5,000 as a teacher sometimes. She needs to study a lot.”
After the negative repercussion of her statements and the subsequent cancellations of shows, the singer’s legal advisor issued a statement, explaining that she “expressed herself in a dubious way”.
The singer’s legal team argues that she “unfortunately, has suffered countless gratuitous attacks on the internet, due to her being active in issues of female empowerment and being constantly growing in the media, and upon hearing words supposedly said by another woman, she expressed herself in a dubious way, thus giving rise to pejorative interpretations that were distorted from her real intention”.
In addition to his musical production and shows, MC Pipokinha sells sensual images and videos on Privacy, a Brazilian platform that competes with OnlyFans in the sale of adult content.
