New details about the Poco X8 5G have emerged in a leak, indicating that the device will feature a long-lasting battery and improved resistance. The official launch of the device, which balances specifications and autonomy, is scheduled for September 4, 2026, in India, along with the already confirmed Poco X8 Power.

Launch approaches and Poco X8 5G reveals its main features

Poco is preparing to introduce new models in the Indian market. While the Poco X8 Power has already been released by the brand itself, the Poco X8 5G has been attracting attention with leaks that point to a set of robust features and a design designed for intense use. This model is expected to be a strong alternative for consumers looking for a complete smartphone.

Great battery life and fast charging for Poco X8 5G

One of the most notable points of the Poco X8 5G is its 9,000 mAh battery, promising more than a day of heavy use for most users. In addition to the capacity, the device will have support for 67 W fast wired charging, allowing the device to be recharged in a reduced time.

The functionality extends with 22.5W reverse charging, transforming the smartphone into a portable power bank. This feature is ideal for charging other devices and accessories when there is no outlet available. Internally, the cell phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, a chip that offers consistent performance for daily and multitasking tasks.

Advanced display technology and Snapdragon processor power

The visual experience on the Poco To protect against drops and scratches, the screen is equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass.

The smartphone’s performance is centered on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip, which is positioned as an efficient processor for the mid-range segment. It ensures that the operating system and applications run smoothly, complementing the visual quality of the display and 5G connectivity for fast and stable browsing.

Photography capabilities and robust weather protection

In the camera department, the Poco X8 5G includes a 50 MP main sensor, with optical image stabilization (OIS), which helps capture sharp photos and steadier videos. For selfies and video calls, the device offers a 16 MP front lens. The multimedia experience is enhanced by dual stereo speakers, delivering immersive audio.

An important differentiator of the device is its resistance certifications. The Poco X8 5G features IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K standards, indicating almost complete sealing against water jets and dust ingress. Xiaomi, responsible for the Poco brand, also promises extended software support, with four operating system updates and six years of security packages, ensuring the device’s longevity.

Price expectations and global availability of the new model

Rumors suggest that the Poco X8 5G could be a renamed version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro, a common practice among Xiaomi sub-brands. The leaked price information suggests a value between ₹28,000 and ₹30,000 in India, which converts to approximately R$1,520 and R$1,630, in direct conversion.

For comparison, the X8 Power 5G, which will be launched at the same event with a 10,000 mAh battery, is expected to cost around ₹35,000, equivalent to R$1,905. Although the launch date in India is confirmed, there is still no official information about the arrival of the Poco X8 5G in Brazil or other global markets. Historically, distribution in other countries usually occurs months after the Asian debut.
