Security cameras captured a stunning accident involving a motorcyclist and a bus in western Colombia on the 30th. The impact caused the motorcycle driver to be thrown into the public transport vehicle. The incident occurred at an intersection in the city of Guadalajara de Buga, located approximately 400 kilometers from Bogotá.
Images showing the accident from multiple angles
Security footage captured the moment of the collision from two perspectives. Initially, a camera outside the intersection reveals the motorcycle hitting the side of the bus, which had the door open at the time of the crash.
Another film, taken from inside the bus, shows the motorcyclist already inside the vehicle, shortly after the collision. The bus driver immediately stopped and got up to check the unusual situation.
Motorcyclist walks away and suspicion of infraction
Surprisingly, the images indicate that the motorcyclist managed to get up and leave the bus on foot, without waiting for assistance. According to reports in the Colombian press, he left the place on his own after the incident.
Local authorities raised the suspicion that the motorcycle driver may have failed to respect the red light at the intersection. The video clearly shows the motorcyclist advancing at high speed, while another motorcyclist, a few seconds earlier, stopped obeying the signs.
Search and seizure of the vehicle involved
To date, the man’s identity and whereabouts have not been confirmed. Teams from the city council began a search at medical centers in the region in an attempt to locate the motorcyclist, but he was not found.
The motorcycle involved in the impact was collected and taken to a municipal yard. The vehicle was seized under abandoned condition by authorities.
