The Xiaomi 18 Fold, the brand’s long-awaited foldable device, should be officially presented in China at the beginning of September 2026. This new smartphone promises to stand out in the foldable market due to its autonomy, with an unprecedented 6,000mAh battery and cutting-edge hardware, which could put it ahead of its main competitors.
The battery capacity revealed in leaks positions the Xiaomi 18 Fold superior to models such as the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which has 4,880mAh, and the Huawei Pura X View, with 5,300mAh. In addition to the large capacity, the device will also support 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
The information indicates that the model will be equipped with the new XRING O3 chip, manufactured using 3 nanometer technology. This is expected to be the first device on the market to integrate LDPDDR6 technology into its memories, bringing significant advances in performance.
Among the other speculated attributes, the Xiaomi 18 Fold should have a 7.6-inch folding screen. The camera system could include a 200MP main sensor. The smartphone will run on the HyperOS 4 interface, which is based on Android 17, and will have a fingerprint sensor located on the side for security.
Although a specific date has not yet been confirmed, the launch of the Xiaomi 18 Fold is expected in early September 2026. Recently, leaked images of the device in the possession of Xiaomi’s CEO allowed a first glimpse of the device.
