Manchester City intensified its activity in the transfer market and announced the arrival of new players in the final stretch of the window, which ended on September 1, 2026. Among the moves, the club confirmed the signing of striker Iliman Ndiaye, who was at Everton. The deal totaled 60 million pounds, approximately R$417 million, with an additional 5 million pounds, approximately R$34 million, in bonuses.
City’s board acted quickly to secure the Senegalese after failing to close a deal for Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo. The Anfield club refused the proposal made by the Dutch striker, leading the Manchester team to look for other attacking options.
Still in the same period, the team led by Enzo Maresca completed another major acquisition: midfielder Enzo Fernández, coming from Chelsea. The amount paid by the Argentine player was 125 million pounds, the equivalent of almost R$870 million. This amount set a new record in Premier League history, equaling the transaction for Alexander Isak, who transferred from Newcastle to Liverpool the previous season.
Iliman Ndiaye arrives at Manchester City to fill the gaps left by the departure of Marmoush and Savinho, who went to Tottenham. Both athletes played on the sides of the field, the same position as Ndiaye. The team also welcomed Allan, formerly of Palmeiras, reinforcing the squad for the season.
